About Baby Massage

The International Association of Infant Massage was set up in the early 1970s by an American lady named Vimala McClure who’s purpose is to promote nurturing touch and communication through training education and research so that parents, caregivers and children are loved valued and respected throughout the world community.

The Infant Massage Programme developed by Vimala is practiced and taught in over 70 countries and became familiar in the UK during the late 1990s. This longstanding parenting tradition teaches soothing strokes which incorporates Swedish and Indian massage traditions, as well as incorporating principles from yoga and reflexology.
