FAQs

  • What age is best to start baby massage?

Baby massage can begin from birth, but many parents find it most beneficial to start when their baby is around 4–6 weeks old. At this stage, babies are more alert and responsive, and it's easier to establish a calming routine. Always follow your baby’s cues and consult with your healthcare provider if unsure.

  • What are the benefits of baby massage?

Baby massage offers numerous benefits, including promoting bonding between parent and baby, improving sleep patterns, relieving gas and colic, supporting digestion, and enhancing circulation and muscle development. It also helps babies relax and become more aware of their bodies.

  • Do I need any special oils or equipment for the course?

You don’t need much! A soft towel or blanket, a comfortable space, and a gentle, baby-safe massage oil (like cold-pressed vegetable or coconut oil) are typically all that’s required. Your instructor will guide you on what’s suitable and may provide recommendations during the course.

  • What if my baby cries or is fussy during the session?

That’s completely normal and nothing to worry about. The course is baby-led, meaning we follow your baby’s mood and needs. If your baby needs to feed, be changed, or simply have a break, you're encouraged to respond to them. The goal is a calm, supportive environment for both parent and baby.
